Crafted from 100% virgin iron ore, this cast iron pan combines traditional craftsmanship with modern DISA casting technology. After high-temperature melting, the molten iron is cast into a sand mold, forming a unique miniature pan. The inner and outer walls of the pot are not polished, resulting in a surface texture that is not as smooth as a stainless steel pan. A small amount of air blisters and shallow pits may be present, which is a normal part of the casting process.
The surface of the cast iron pot body is free from any chemical coatings; instead, a vegetable oil carbonization process is used to prevent rust when the pan leaves the factory. The natural fine particles on the surface of the pot body can reduce the contact area between the food and the bottom of the pan, creating a physical feature that makes the pan less prone to sticking.
The thickened bottom of the cast iron pan offers excellent heat conduction and heat storage performance, ensuring fast heating, less oily smoke, uniform heat distribution, and energy efficiency. This makes it perfect for cooking a variety of dishes, including appetizers, dips, pie skillets, omelets, biscuits, and brownies.
Before using the new cast iron pan, it is recommended to perform a pre-use maintenance routine: wash the pan with detergent, wipe it dry, then boil water in it for 2 minutes. After pouring out the water, bake the pan dry on the fire and evenly spread a layer of oil over the entire surface.
After use, it is best to avoid using chemical cleaners until the non-stick effect has been established. Instead, simply rinse the pan, wipe off any water stains, and apply a thin layer of oil. If the pan becomes rusty, simply repeat the pre-use care procedure.
As the pan is used more frequently over time, it will become increasingly shiny and smooth, achieving an even better physical non-stick effect. During the initial use, some black chips may fall off, which is simply a layer of carbonized vegetable oil – a healthy and natural occurrence.
The wooden handle of the cast iron pan is designed to prevent hands from getting burned. It is integrally formed, ensuring strength and durability, and can be easily hung for storage.
This mini cast iron skillet pan is suitable for use on gas stoves, induction stoves, infrared stoves, ceramic stoves, grills, and even over campfires. However, it is not recommended for use in a microwave oven.
